Barnacle Geese (Branta leucopsis) swimming past icebergs in Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon, Austurland (Eastern Region, East Iceland), Iceland
Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon receives icebergs breaking off the Breiðamerkurjökull outlet tongue of the Vatnajokull glacier, which gives its name to Vatnajokull National Park. Vatnajokull is the largest non-polar icecap in the world. Jokulsarlon's accessibility makes it a tourist honeypot.
