Under side of a Duke of Burgundy butterfly (Hamearis lucina) resting on limestone, Cumbria, England
The Duke of Burgundy butterfly is sometimes classed as a member of the Lycaenidae Family, and sometimes as a member of the Riodinidae. It used to be known as the Duke of Burgundy Fritillary but it is a metalmark not a Fritillary.
