A lorry making its way through a narrow gap between stones of Long Meg & Her Daughters late Neolithic or early Bronze Age stone circle, Little Salkeld, Cumbria, England
The stone circle consists of 59 rhyolite glacial erratic stones (27 remaining upright) arranged in an slightly flattened oval shape measuring 109 by 95 metres. There are thought to have been as many as 70 stones originally. Long Meg herself is a 3.8 m high monolith of red sandstone set some 24 metres to the southwest, outside the circle formed by her Daughters.
