Welcome to my United Kingdom birds galleries! If you have been here before you will see that all has changed in the last few months. With well over 1500 images, the single gallery was becoming too large and unmanageable, so I have created individual galleries for all species for which I am displaying 15 images or more. These are ordered alphabetically, so gulls are ordered under G, and Black-Headed Gull (Gull, Black-Headed) comes ahead of Common Gull (Gull, Common). It is more complicated to explain than to understand, I hope. I have so many images of the Eurasian Sparrowhawk that a single gallery was becoming too unwieldy. So I have divided these images between male in adult plumage and male in juvenile plumage; I have yet to observe a female Sparrowhawk in my garden, where all the images were taken. All species with less than 15 images are shown in Other United Kingdom Birds, again ordered alphabetically.
