Lochindorb Castle lies on an island in freshwater Lochindorb. Dating from the 13th century, it consists of an enclosure surrounded by a four-sided curtain wall. A stronghold of the Comyns, Lords of Badenoch, it was occupied from 1372 by the infamous 'Wolf of Badenoch', Alexander Stewart, Earl of Buchan.
