Two male Plains Giraffes (Giraffa camelopardalis) necking, Chudob, Etosha, Namibia
From adolescence male giraffes 'neck' with each other, in which they test each other's fighting potential by pushing and hitting each other's neck or torso with their heads. Genuine fights only occur when there is a challenge to the dominant male, which normally will mate with all the females.
