Blue Wildebeest (Conochaetes taurinus) with injured left foreleg running to reach the Andoni waterhole, Etosha, Namibia
This individual had been seen being kicked by a Zebra at least 2 weeks previously, and had been unable to bear weight on its left foreleg since, probably due to either a fractured humerus or radial nerve paralysis. Remarkably, despite its severe impediment, it had managed to avoid being killed by lions.
