The same Nazca Booby again (Sula granti) panting in the heat: note the two parasitic flies on the other side of its neck. Darwin Beach, Genovesa, Galapagos Islands
All three flies from these two images are oriented in the same way: vertical with head at the top when the booby's neck is vertical too. Is this a coincidence or typical, and why?
