The Giant Anteater has a tongue that is 60cm long and attached to its sternum. In this image the tongue is visible protruding about 15cms from the mouth and curving between the snout and the front feet. Blown up greatly beyond any usefulness for reproduction, it is possible to see ants or termites on the tongue.
