Blesbok (Bontebok race) (Damaliscus dorcas dorcas) with foraging Banded Mongooses (Mungos mungo), Etosha, Namibia
The Bontebok was narrowly saved from extinction by being preserved in parks and reserves, from which it is being reintroduced into the wild. These Bonteboks live as a small captive herd in the grounds of Mokuti Safari Lodge, congregating round the guest lodges at night for safety. A few individuals are taken by Leopards every year.
